Recombinant human glial fibrillary acidic protein (GFAP)

GFAP is a major protein of the nervous system localized in astrocytes, large non-neuronal cells which forms part of the blood brain barrier. It is also found in neural stem cells. Antibodies to GFAP are therefore used to identify astrocytes and monitor neural development. Recent work has shown that GFAP leaks into blood, cerebrospinal and other fluids following a variety of damage and disease states. Accordingly sensitive ELISA, MSD, Luminex and Simoa based assays have been developed and are widely utilized in research and clinical contexts. This recombinant human GFAP is an ideal protein standard for such assays.

Recombinant human neurofilament light chain (NF-L)

Human neurofilament light chain (NF-L) is a major neuron specific protein of perikarya and especially in large projection axons . Accordingly antibodies to NF-L are useful to identify neuronal cells and their axonal processes. In addition release of NF-L into blood, cerebrospinal and other fluids reveals ongoing axonal and neuronal loss. This loss may provide useful prognostic and diagnostic information. Sensitive assays for NF-L have therefore been developed. This recombinant human NF-L protein can and has been widely employed as a protein standard for NF-L ELISA, MSD, Luminex, Simoa and other antibody based assays.

LTR_FINDER

Web tool for prediction of full length Long Terminal Repeat retrotransposons. Used for finding LTR retrotransposons in genome sequences.Given DNA sequences, it predicts locations and structure of full length LTR retrotransposons accurately by considering common structural features.

Multivariate Analysis of Transcript Splicing

Software tool to detect differential alternative splicing events from RNA-Seq data. Calculates P value and false discovery rate that difference in isoform ratio of gene between two conditions exceeds given user defined threshold. Can automatically detect and analyze alternative splicing events corresponding to all major types of alternative splicing patterns. Handles replicate RNA-Seq data from both paired and unpaired study design.
