A sleep core/sleep reading center manager and the core director (Dr. Beth Malow) assist investigators with protocol development. It offers polysomnography, titrations with continuous positive airway pressure, multiple sleep latency testing, and wrist actigraphy (wireless devices that measure sleep-wake patterns non-intrusively based on accelerometers that measure activity vs. rest). The core provides for centralized scoring of polysomnography and actigraphy data for multicenter trials.
